About Me

I am Jayne Scaffidi Argentina.  Welcome to my Sweet Kitchen – www.CucinaDolce.Ca!

I have been baking all the way back to my childhood.  I used to sit on the counter and watch my mom make “the best pies in the family” from our cramped kitchen.  I took my first job lugging 20kg bags of flour and filling up spice canisters so that I could get a discount on the baking supplies from the store.  I  began baking cookies as Christmas gifts for my friends in high school and university.  Shortly after I got married, I threw a baby shower for a friend, where I made little yellow duckie cutout cookies as favours and a cake shaped like a baby bottle.  After that party, everyone kept suggesting that I quit engineering and open a baking business….

I never thought it would happen.

Today, I am a work-from-home mom with an amazing, supportive husband and three incredible kids.  I have a passion for baking, and I truly believe that any dessert should not only look beautiful – it should also taste wonderful.  I am proud to offer real, fresh, made-from-scratch baking from my Sweet Kitchen to you!
